macOS Tips-01: Getting hands on with MacOs if you use Windows before.| SernHao Tv

What I going to share with you today is: Getting start for using mac. (Beginner)

Hello, everyone! Welcome to the SernHao Tv. I am SernHao.

I believe you're like me, The first computer is the Windows computer.
When you going to switch to MacBook, Your will think that, We are never use MacBook before, is it easy to hands on?
In fact, mac and windows, They do have something is different; but also with a lot of similarities.

Here I will share with you: The Similarities between macOS and Windows OS.

Let's go!

This is macOS interface;
This is win10 interface.
Win10 will be my model.

0:00:40 (1) Desktop
We can see his upper-right corner, There wifi, battery, keyboard input, and date. As well as the latest version of macOS There will have siri.
At the top left, that is a mac's logo. Click on it and you can see, shut down, restart, or system preferences.
The top- right (left) we can call it as menu bar. (menu)
While executing app or any other file, This menu bar will changes following.

0:01:14 (2) File Manager
In macOS, we will find that is named as "finder".
You can click on the finder.
The "smile face" at bottom-left corner.
The finder will turn on The interface that you view last time.
When you want to close the app or folder, We can click it at top right corner. The macOS is the top left corner. Red is crossed (closed). This is minimized, maximized.

It is at the below. This is similar as win10's Task Bar.

Where is the installed app?
The first place we could find at, The Launchpad which is at dock. click on it. You can see All the apps you installed.
Or open the finder, The left hand side, called the "Application". Click to it, You can see, All the app you installed.

In win10, all the installer The format is "exe".
In macOS itself, it is "dmg".
After install, He will become a ".app". This is what I just downloaded the app, It is "dmg" format. After double-clicking, We can see, He is exported to ".app".
What we want to do is, Move this thing to Application folder.
After that, we can find it from Application for the just installed app.

0:02:48 (4.2) remove app
Just right-click, Move to Trash (trash).
Or you just pull it, (Drag) the trash which is at bottom right. then it will uninstalled.

0:03:00 (5) USB / external hard disk format
What usb format (format) will be fit to macOS?
From this chart, we can see, windows are use NTFS.
And, macOS does not support NTFS. Although macOS can read this file.
However, they can not put your things into NTFS.
In fact, the best format, they advised is to use Fat32.
However, Fat32 there is a limitation is, it can not copy a maximum more than 4GB file.
So the best thing, is exFAT.
Because of this, you can read and write.
More than the 4GB file, And it is applicable in the win and macOS, So the best is, Before you use this mac, You can format your external hard drive to exFAT format, Would be better.

0:03:52 (6) Dock List - add on

0:03:53 (6.1) Add Dock
How to add a shortcut key (list)? Actually it is very easy.
First, open the Application, And then select an app,
For example this pureVPN I (pull) down. That's all.
If you think too many thing in dock, You can remove some of it.

0:04:13 (6.2) Delete Dock
There are two methods to remove.
The first is to right-click, option, Remove from Dock
Or, click and hold to (the app), Then move up. You will see "Remove" word, Then you let go, it would be removed.
Of course, something removed from the dock, it will not uninstall the app.
